Work-based learning came to life at Aims Community College when students took on designing and implementing the build out of a snow melt system on campus.

Lawrence Brown is the student featured in this video highlighting the practical application of what he learned in various classes like our Building Electrical Systems, Materials and Systems, Estimating, Scheduling and Computer Aided Drafting 2D.  Students are eligible to take on internships and projects for employers like this to practice what they have learned in class and develop the skills necessary to become workforce ready.

Lawrence Brown graduated in May 2018 with a Major in Associates of Applied Science Building and Construction Site Management. He is currently a Project Engineer with Moltz Construction in Windsor, CO.
