Weld RE-5J School District—serving the Johnstown-Milliken community—prepares every student for success in college, skilled trades, and the workforce through a comprehensive, K–12 college- and career-readiness system. Beginning in elementary school and continuing through high school, students explore interests and build an individualized four-year academic and career plan aligned to their strengths and goals.

At the heart of this work are College & Career Pathways, including robust, hands-on CTE programs that integrate rigorous academics with real-world learning tied to high-demand industries. Roosevelt High School offers 18 state-approved pathways, while middle school students engage in state-approved exploratory experiences that help them discover potential careers early.

Collaboration among middle and high school educators, shared advisory boards, and strong partnerships with local businesses and six higher-education institutions ensure aligned instruction, meaningful work-based learning, concurrent enrollment options, and equitable access to industry-recognized credentials.

Weld RE-5J is an active partner in the NoCo K12 Work-Based Learning Collaborative, aligning with Northern Colorado districts and employers to expand high-quality internships, job shadows, apprenticeships, and credentialed experiences that connect classroom learning to local careers.
